This is an armed security position with a structured schedule:
Sunday to Saturday - 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Saturday and Sunday - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
Year-Round Income
Cardinal Point gives armed officers priority consideration for crossover hours in our commercial, executive protection, and event divisions.

What You Will Do:
Proactive Safety
- Maintain a visible, professional armed presenceConduct proactive patrols of buildings and groundsMonitor entrances and common areasSupport access control and visitor management proceduresIdentify and report suspicious activity, safety vulnerabilities, and security concerns in real time
Incident Management and De-Escalation
- Use calm verbal de-escalation and sound judgment during conflicts and disruptionsHelp stabilize situations without unnecessarily escalating themBuild positive, professional relationships with customers and staffAct as a trusted adult presence while maintaining clear professional boundaries
Emergency Response
- Act as a capable first responder during emergencies, access control breaches, and critical incidentsSupport client management and law enforcement coordination when neededMaintain composure, awareness, and communication discipline under pressure
Operational Excellence
- Monitor CCTV and support facility awarenessWrite clear, factual, professional incident reportsReport on safety and facility concerns promptlyExecute the Cardinal Point basics every day: Be on time, look sharp, be engaged, be consistentSupport secondary posts or special assignments when operationally required
Physical Requirements
This is an active role that requires:
- Walking and standing for extended periodsoperating effectively in a dynamic environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid PA Act 235 CertificationValid PA Concealed Carry PermitMust possess your own firearmOfficers must be able to pass our firearms qualification courseHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to pass criminal background investigations and drug screenMust be willing and able to obtain all state-mandated clearancesReliable transportationActive cell phone with reliable email accessStrong verbal and written English communication skillsProfessional, appropriate, customer-focused demeanorSound judgment, emotional control, and the ability to work well under pressureNo felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in one or more of the following:military police / military retired or former law enforcement in good standingarmed school securityCPR / First Aid / AED certificationStrong report-writing ability
