Job DescriptionWe are a modern, state of the art outpatient surgery center located in the heart of San Francisco. We are in search of an Administrator to join our full-time team.
Position Summary:
- Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the clinical and business operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- Direct, monitors, and evaluates staff to ensure professional medical/nursing care for each patient.
- Assist with Human Resources in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, professional development, discipline and terminations.
- Oversees and monitors the managed care contracts.
- Develop/implement entity specific policies and procedures affecting daily operations.
- Develop, direct and evaluate administrative policies, personnel policies and procedures as well as standards of conduct.
- Provide direction for evaluation of all facility programs and committee activities, including but not limited to Quality Management Improvement and Infection Control as well as delegate responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Assist the management team to comply with federal, state, county and city regulations regarding the Surgery Center (including AAASF & OSHA)
- Monitor/review performance evaluations of all employees with employee’s direct manager.
- Monitor/review appropriate scheduling/staffing activities of patients, physicians, and personnel to ensure quality of services and cost effectiveness.
- Provide vision and direction of employee training and motivation.
- Monitor/aid in the credentialing process with Office Manager
- Develop/monitor guidelines and standards for assuring compliance with state licensure, CMS, federal regulations (OSHA, CLIA, etc.) and accreditation.
- Oversee the activities of recruiting, selection, supervision, and counseling of personnel.
- Provide a safe environment for all customers and employees by implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Perform other administrative duties as delegated or assigned by the Governing Body
- Provide appropriate reports to the Governing Body and Shareholders.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common professional journals, nationally recognized guidelines and regulations
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to effectively present information to staff, management and physicians
- Ability to effectively present information to the Governing Body, Shareholders and fellow managers.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or management, MSN/MBA preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Administrator, Director of Nursing or Office Manager in a Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center or similar Outpatient Center.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance claims processing and business operations.
