About the Opportunity
Insight Global is seeking a Director of Maintenance, Facilities & Infrastructure for a large amusement park, water park, and campground/resort complex in Kansas City, MO.
This role serves as the senior leader responsible for maintenance operations, facilities management, infrastructure reliability, construction projects, workforce development, labor relations, capital planning, and safety performance across a 350-acre entertainment property. The operation functions similarly to a small city, requiring oversight of rides, attractions, utilities, lodging accommodations, grounds, water operations, and critical infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and construction operations across rides, attractions, facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and grounds
- Develop maintenance strategies, operational goals, and long-term infrastructure plans
- Oversee capital improvement and construction projects from planning through execution
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and uptime
- Manage labor relations initiatives and administer union agreements
- Recruit, mentor, and develop maintenance and construction personnel
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Manage operating budgets, capital expenditures, contractors, and vendor partnerships
- Support park operations, special events, and emergency response efforts as needed
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
Required Qualifications
- 6-10+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, facilities, engineering, construction, or technical operations
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary maintenance, facilities, engineering, or construction teams
- Experience overseeing complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, infrastructure, and facilities systems
- Proven experience managing capital projects, contractors, and vendor relationships
- Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of OSHA, EHS, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change and driving process improvements
- Strong budgeting, capital planning, project management, and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response situations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within amusement parks, theme parks, water parks, resorts, entertainment venues, or large public facilities
- Experience in unionized environments and labor-management relations
- Background leading maintenance operations within manufacturing, utilities, industrial facilities, or large-scale physical plants
- Experience with ride systems, utilities, infrastructure, water systems, lodging facilities, or grounds operations
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Professional certifications related to facilities, maintenance, engineering, construction, or project management
- Experience participating in union negotiations and collective bargaining initiatives
