Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC equipment to support daily production operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance, and helping minimize machine downtime in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements of the Maintenance Technician

  • 5+ years of CNC maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience maintaining CNC machining centers, automated manufacturing equipment, and production machinery
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments, multimeters, and diagnostic tools
  • Knowledge of servo systems, spindle assemblies, tool changers, lubrication, coolant, and hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with CNC controls such as Okuma OSP, Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki, Makino, or similar
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment is preferred

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machining centers
  • Diagnose and resolve failures involving spindles, servo systems, ball screws, tool changers, lubrication, coolant, and hydraulic systems
  • Interpret CNC alarms, electrical schematics, machine documentation, and diagnostic software
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability
  • Complete machine alignments, inspections, lubrication services, and mechanical adjustments
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  • Identify root causes of recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and setup personnel to improve machine performance and reliability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation while following all safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

2nd shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $37.00 - $40.00 hourly, based on experience
