Enviremedial Services, Inc. is a fast-growing contractor seeking an experienced and self-motivated grounds maintenance technician to join our team! Travel is required for this position.
Position Overview:
Perform landscaping and snow/ice removal duties, and assist in completing simple facilities maintenance tasks at Marine Corp Reserves Centers(MCRC) in Newburgh and Brooklyn, NY. This position will be based out of MCRC Newburgh and will require travel for two days each week to the secondary site, MCRC Brooklyn.
Example of Duties:
- Fall/Winter Months: Perform the following per contract requirements:
- Use snow plow/blower, shovel, and salt to properly clear snow on customer sites.
- Spring/Summer Months: Perform the following per contract requirements:
- Mow and fertilize lawn
- Trim shrubs, bushes, trees
- Pull weeds, tend mulch beds, etc.
- Year-Round: Assist Maintenance technicians in completing preventative maintenance work on buildings as needed.

- Eligibility To become eligible to participate in the ESOP the employee must have attained the age of 21. An eligible employee who has worked at least 1,000 hours in a 12-month period beginning on their date of hire will become a "Participant" in the plan on the first January 1 or July 1 after the end of the 12-month period.
- Vacation - Effective immediately
- 0-3 years of service: 80 Hours - 10 days each year - Accumulation Max 120 hours
- 4-5 years of service: 96 Hours - 12 days each year- Accumulation Max 136 hours
- 6+ years of service: 120 Hours - 15 days each year - Accumulation Max 160 hours
- Sick Pay Max Accrual of 56 hours per year Accrual begins immediately upon hire.
- Per Executive Order (EO) 13706 Employees will accrue (earn) not less than one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked on or in connection with a covered contract, up to a maximum of fifty-six (56) hours.
- Twelve Paid Holidays (12) Predetermined Holidays - Effective immediately
- Plus four (4) days paid break between Christmas Day and New Year's Day for annual Christmas Break
- ESI 401(k) Plan- 25% Discretionary Employer Match Effective after 90 days
- Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long Term Disability Insurance -Effective on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Enviremedial Services Inc. Pays approximately 90% of Employee only coverage and competitive percentages of dependent coverage.
* Immediately upon hire, a fringe benefit of $4.93 per hour (for all regular time up to 40 hours per week worked on SCA Contracts), will be paid into a 401(k) in your name. Once health insurance selections become effective the fringe benefit amount will change depending upon the level of insurance you select.
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience:
- Graduation from High School
- At least three (3) to five (5) years' experience in the maintenance field. Experience on large complexes and HVAC knowledge is desired.
- Proficient computer skills in order to complete reports and other required documentation
Special Requirements:
- Must have a valid State Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a considerable background check.
- Skill in the operation of a variety of hand tools and equipment common to the building trades and/or H.V.A.C., filtration systems, etc.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing; ability to work with co-workers and the public.-- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products.
