Position Overview:
Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking a Custodian (1433) to deliver administrative support functions in the Maintenance department for the employees and buildings in the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
- Perform moderately complex custodial work at the Bivins Pointe location and other assigned areas.
- Clean and care for the building and premises, maintain custodial equipment, and fulfill minor equipment repairs and installation.
- Requisition supplies as needed and coordinate with available staff to cover custodial work caused by staff shortage.
- Coordinate with the Support Services Director in the cleaning and custodial maintenance of other areas and buildings as needed.
- Work under limited supervision with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Possess the knowledge and experience in all custodial operations.
- Attend training as required by Human Resource Development and/or custodial manager.
- Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Education & Credentials (Required):
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work, OR a minimum of 8th grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by a qualifying score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE).
- 1 year of janitorial or general cleaning work in an industrial environment.
- Perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner.

- Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
- At least 18 years of age.
