About the Role

Citrus Motors is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Express Service Technician / Lube Technician to join our busy dealership service department. In this role, you will serve as the front line of vehicle maintenance, handling vital routine services that keep our customers safely on the road.

This position is an excellent entry point into the automotive dealership world. Whether you are a recent trade school graduate, an experienced quick-lube tech, or someone with strong mechanical aptitude looking for a career path, Citrus Motors provides the mentorship, manufacturer training, and shop environment needed to help you advance into a certified master automotive technician.

Key Responsibilities

Routine Maintenance: Perform multi-point inspections, express oil and filter changes, fluid checks, and quick lube services efficiently.
Component Replacement: Inspect and replace wear-and-tear items such as cabin and engine air filters, wiper blades, and exterior lighting bulbs.
Electrical & Starting Systems: Test vehicle batteries, charging systems, and starter health using dedicated diagnostic equipment; perform battery replacements when necessary.
Tire & Brake Service: Check tire tread depth and wear patterns, perform tire rotations, set correct tire pressures, and check basic brake pad wear.
Light-Duty & Warranty Repairs: Complete basic mechanical repairs and minor manufacturer-specified warranty services adhering strictly to factory standards.
Diagnostic Communication: Accurately identify safety issues or needed repairs and clearly report recommendations to Service Advisors so customers remain informed.
Shop Safety & Vehicle Care: Keep customer vehicle interiors protected and clean; maintain an organized, clean, and safe personal work stall and shared shop area.

What We Are Looking For

Experience / Education: Previous experience in a quick-lube shop or completion of an automotive vocational/technical program is preferred, but motivated candidates with hands-on mechanical aptitude will be considered.
Tools: Possession of basic hand tools suitable for express maintenance (or willingness to acquire them).
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably throughout an active shift in a fast-paced shop environment.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with an insurable, clean driving record.
Work Ethic: Strong time-management skills, high attention to detail, and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.
