Job Summary:
\n
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by responding to service calls, diagnosing equipment issues, and performing repairs to minimize downtime. This role works closely with Plant Management to prioritize maintenance activities and ensure efficient, safe production.
\n
This position includes both preventative and reactive maintenance responsibilities across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The technician will maintain and improve production equipment, assist with installation and upgrades, and support overall facility upkeep with a strong focus on safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and repair or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and combustion system components, including bearings, couplings, and related machinery parts.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including controls, wiring, motors, sensors, circuit boards, and related equipment.
- Test, evaluate, and troubleshoot production equipment to identify malfunctions, performance issues, deviations from design specifications, and operational limitations.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) activities on plant machinery and equipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of molding press operations, including monitoring oil levels, identifying leaks, and ensuring proper operation of billet heaters, cutoff saws, transfer systems, stretchers, and associated equipment.
- Install, modify, and upgrade equipment in collaboration with team members to improve reliability, operational efficiency, ease of use, and workplace safety.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and work orders, ensuring all records are updated in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including housekeeping of work areas following repairs and support of overall maintenance department cleanliness.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, torch cutting, welding, and general industrial maintenance practices.
- Comply with and actively promote all environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Associate degree in Mechatronics preferred or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints
- Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineers, machinists, and cross-functional teams
