Job Overview

Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking a dependable, hands-on Porter / Make-Ready Technician with previous multifamily apartment experience in the Houston, TX area! We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping apartment communities clean, completing make-readies efficiently, and helping maintenance teams keep units ready for new residents.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and experienced in apartment turns, groundskeeping, and general property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment make-readies to ensure units are clean, presentable, and ready for new residents.
• Assist with painting, touch-ups, cleaning, and minor repairs during apartment turns.
• Remove trash, debris, and unwanted items from vacant units and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the property, including breezeways, hallways, stairwells, parking lots, and amenities.
• Perform daily groundskeeping, including picking up litter and maintaining curb appeal.
• Assist maintenance technicians with work orders, service requests, and general maintenance duties as needed.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and property concerns.
• Help prepare vacant units for inspections and move-in deadlines.
• Keep maintenance storage areas and equipment organized.
• Follow community safety procedures and meet established make-ready deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous multifamily apartment experience is required.
• Experience completing apartment make-readies and apartment turns.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance, painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, and perform physical duties throughout the workday.
• Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced apartment community environment.
