Commercial Service & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
CBMI is seeking an experienced, dependable Commercial Service & Maintenance Technician to handle repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and tenant-improvement construction at commercial properties.
The ideal candidate is a versatile technician with hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and tenant-improvement construction. You must be comfortable diagnosing problems, completing quality repairs, communicating with customers, and working independently at multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial preventive maintenance and service calls
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Complete tenant-improvement construction and repair projects
- Troubleshoot equipment and building-system problems
- Perform light carpentry, drywall, painting, fixture installation, and related work
- Inspect properties and identify needed repairs or safety concerns
- Document completed work, materials used, and recommended follow-up
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers, and supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Respond to emergency service calls when required
Required Qualifications
- Commercial maintenance or construction experience
- Working knowledge of tenant-improvement construction
- Experience with commercial HVAC service and maintenance
- Plumbing troubleshooting and repair experience
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Ability to read work orders, plans, specifications, and equipment manuals
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment safely
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and customer-service attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building-maintenance certifications
- EPA Section 608 certification
- Experience servicing multiple commercial properties
- Experience estimating materials and labor
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
