Job DescriptionTitle: Maintenance Technician Shift: Night Shift/3rdLocation: Forest Park, GA Hourly: $30hr - $34hr
Position Summary:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment through effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. This role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and collaborating closely with production and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize production interruptions.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and extend asset life.
  • Utilize the SAP maintenance management system to record, track, and close out work orders accurately.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to share knowledge, improve processes, and identify root causes of equipment issues.
  • Support and adhere to all plant safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs, including SQF, Lean, RBS, and MOS initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company and regulatory safety procedures.
  • Work effectively in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and humid areas, depending on the production setting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and reliability-based maintenance practices.
  • Experience using SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented and proactive mindset.
