Production Mechanic

Responsibilities:

*Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electromechanical automated assembly machines
*Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment utilizing CMMS program to accurately log works
*Schedule work orders, report repairs and manage spare part and record maintenance.
*Perform machine change overs and setups
*Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
*Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
*Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
*Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, gases and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, forklifts, hoists, or dollies.

Requirements:

*Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
*Good communication skills and ability to understand verbal and written instruction.
*Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work over equipment for long periods of time.
*Ability to work and handle very small parts (.003 diameter)
*Must be a good team player and have ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
*Must be able to work with hand tools and possibly run semi-automated machines.
*Ability to learn and understand dimensions on drawings.
