Job Title: Maintenance / Preventive Maintenance Technician
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Conover, NC
Pay: $26.00–$30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Overtime as needed; occasional weekend and holiday work may be required.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically skilled Maintenance / Preventive Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of production machinery and facility equipment. Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance while identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.

Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) systems, including completing scheduled maintenance procedures and documenting completed work.

Plan and execute corrective maintenance actions on assigned equipment and establish routine inspection schedules.

Collaborate with team members to fine-tune equipment, improve operational efficiencies, and increase equipment reliability.

Change blades, replace filters, and maintain compounders and grinders.

Respond promptly to equipment emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow established safety protocols.

Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation to support maintenance and repair activities.
