Maintenance Technician
We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our community safe, functional, and well-maintained. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and making a difference for residents, this could be the right fit for you.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general repairs and upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance maintenance
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to reduce emergency repairs and extend the life of equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to determine the most efficient repair solutions
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and supply inventory
- Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and in compliance with safety standards
- Assist with unit turns and prepare vacant homes for new residents
- Oversee and coordinate work performed by outside contractors as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, property management, or a related field (residential or commercial)
- Working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and common repair practices
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle a physical workload in a variety of weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
