Senior Manager, Grounds Maintenance & Enhancements

Compensation: $75,000-$80,000

Responsibilities:

Field Operations & Production
\n
- \n
- Oversee and manage daily field operations for grounds maintenance and enhancement crews across multiple job sites.
- Coordinate scheduling and dispatching of crews, equipment, and materials to meet contractual obligations efficiently and safely.
- Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and within labor and material budgets.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate work performance, safety, and compliance with specifications.
- Track production metrics and adjust field strategies to optimize crew efficiency and profitability.

Enhancement & Installation Project Management
\n

- Plan, coordinate, and manage landscape enhancement and installation projects from scope to completion.
- Develop project schedules, and allocate labor, materials, and equipment, coordinating subcontractors and vendors as needed.
- Monitor project budgets, track job costs, and report on project financials to branch leadership.
- Manage project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, and closeout procedures.

Team Leadership & Development
\n

- Manage Account Managers, Crew Leaders, and field staff across grounds maintenance and enhancement crews.
- Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to your team, and proactively develop their skills as the branch grows.
- Mentor and support field crews, promoting a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
- Ensure all crews understand project goals, timelines, and quality expectations.

Market Execution & Collaboration
\n

- Understand and execute the branch's local market strategy in the field, translating strategic goals into daily crew priorities.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Estimators, and branch leadership to align resources and resolve issues.
- Maintain strong communication with clients when needed to support field activities and resolve concerns.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications:
\n
Required
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of experience in landscape production, project management, or field operations leadership, including experience managing other managers or crew leaders.
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance, installation, and enhancement practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects across diverse job types.
- Ability to interpret landscape plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools, time tracking, and production reporting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing both maintenance and enhancement/installation crews.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
\n

- Ability to walk job sites and properties, including uneven terrain, for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move around active job sites to conduct quality checks.
- Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions during site visits.
- Regular, reliable driving between job sites and the branch.
