Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Disassemble defective equipment and replace defective parts, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components.
- Adjust and repair automotive manufacturing equipment; repair and service test equipment using hand and power tools.
- Reassemble, adjust, and test repaired equipment, including operating machines during non-production hours to produce quality parts and confirm functionality.
- May specialize in specific manufacturing equipment or equipment not specific to the manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot and modify equipment to maintain uptime and improve efficiency and reliability; oversee modifications by internal and external resources for process changes, new models, and expansion.
- Use computerized or manual Maintenance Information Systems to document equipment issues, repairs, and preventative/predictive maintenance measures.
- Make necessary adjustments to parts and machinery to ensure proper production runs.
- Perform basic robotics and electrical circuit troubleshooting.
- Use computerized or manual systems to conduct root cause analysis for major downtime, and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Optimize, upgrade, or change equipment based on safety, quality, or production requirements.
- Coordinate with production supervision and other associates to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure new parts are ordered or unused parts returned to correct stock locations.
- Update verification forms as needed.
- Maintain good housekeeping on the shop floor and in assembly cells.
- May be required to rotate shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education:
- Technical Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent automated manufacturing experience required. Technical knowledge will be demonstrated through a technical assessment prior to hire.
Work Experience / Technical Training:
- Minimum 4 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required.
- Kuka Robotics: 3 years (preferred)
- Fanuc Robotics: 3 years (preferred)
- Allen Bradley PLC: 3 years (preferred)
- Siemens PLC: 3 years (preferred)
