Job Description Plant Clean-Up / Manufacturing Custodian – 2nd Shift Location: Statesville, NC
Pay: $14.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Shift: 2nd Shift Position Overview United Talent Staffing is seeking a dependable, hardworking Plant Clean-Up / Manufacturing Custodian for a manufacturing facility in Statesville, NC. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing hands-on cleaning duties throughout a production facility and assisting with manufacturing operations when needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and contributing to a safe and productive workplace. Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain production areas, breakrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and remove trash from designated areas daily.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring soap, paper products, and other supplies are stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness in warehouse, loading dock, and surrounding areas.
• Clean breakroom appliances, including microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee machines.
• Follow established cleaning and sanitation schedules.
• Properly dispose of trash, scrap materials, and production debris.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual cleaning needs.
• Follow established safety procedures when cleaning around industrial machinery and equipment.
• Assist with production operations during employee breaks, lunches, or staffing shortages as assigned.
• Support general manufacturing and material-handling tasks when needed.
• Maintain an organized work environment and follow all company safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous industrial cleaning, janitorial, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, debris, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and workplace cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to assist in different areas of the facility when needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and properly use cleaning equipment and supplies.

Work Environment & Safety

• Manufacturing and industrial production environment.
• Exposure to dust, debris, and seasonal temperature changes.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.
• Must follow all facility safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe cleaning practices around machinery.
• Periodic overtime may be required.
