Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician
Berger Communities is hiring a Floating Service Technician to support multiple apartment communities throughout Lancaster, Millersville, Middletown, York, PA, and Frederick, MD.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and values building positive relationships with residents and team members. As a Floating Service Technician, you'll provide maintenance support across multiple apartment communities throughout West Chester, Glenmoore, Wilmington, and Bel Air. Rather than traveling to several properties each day, you'll typically be assigned to one community for several weeks at a time after transitioning to another location as business needs require, allowing you to become part of the team, build relationships with residents and coworkers, and make a meaningful impact at each property.

$26-$30/hour, paid biweekly, plus:

Location: Based throughout the Lancaster, York, and Frederick markets.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday.
What You'll Do:
You'll be the go-to person for keeping our apartment communities running smoothly. That means:
- Handling service requests and repairs in apartments and buildings
- Preparing vacant apartments for new residents
- Maintaining community grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Performing preventive maintenance and inspections
- Assisting with appliance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
- Participating in snow removal and rotating on-call responsibilities
- Supporting multiple communities as needed throughout the portfolio
- Delivering outstanding customer service to residents and team members
What We're Looking For
- Prior apartment maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Positive attitude with a customer-service mindset
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- EPA certification preferred
