We are currently seeking a dependable, motivated Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facility operating at its best.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Assistant performs a variety of routine maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the facility, grounds, and equipment remain safe, functional, and compliant with all applicable regulations. This position plays an important role in creating a comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to the building, equipment, and facility systems.

  • Complete preventative maintenance assignments and respond to maintenance requests promptly.

  • Test emergency generators according to weekly and monthly schedules.

  • Inspect the building and grounds to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Perform general repairs including painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs.

  • Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, pressure washing, and seasonal grounds maintenance.

  • Coordinate maintenance projects with other departments to minimize disruption to resident care.

  • Maintain maintenance logs and complete assigned work orders accurately.

  • Follow all safety procedures and infection control policies.

  • Assist with special maintenance projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Previous maintenance, building, or facilities experience preferred.

  • Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, including lawn mowers, weed eaters, pressure washers, and common hand and power tools.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
