Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a multifamily apartment building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tenant relations, property maintenance, leasing, and ensuring the overall success of the property while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations for a multifamily apartment community
  • Manage leasing processes, including advertising vacancies, conducting tours, and processing applications
  • Ensure timely rent collection and handle late payment procedures
  • Maintain regular communication with tenants, addressing complaints, concerns, and service requests promptly
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring the property is well-maintained and safe for residents
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes
  • Enforce lease agreements and handle evictions when necessary
  • Prepare and manage property budgets, including operating expenses and capital improvement projects
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts
  • Handle administrative duties, including preparing reports, lease renewals, and other documentation
  • Stay informed on local and state laws affecting property management and ensure compliance with all legal requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in property management, preferably in a multifamily apartment setting
  • Strong knowledge of fair housing laws, leasing, and tenant rights
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, etc.)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred
