Duties & Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective tenants through personalized communication, building strong client rapport and understanding their housing needs
• Conduct property tours, showcasing features and benefits to attract qualified applicants
• Negotiate lease terms and rental offers confidently, ensuring mutual satisfaction and compliance with Fair Housing regulations
• Manage apartment leasing transactions from initial inquiry to deal closing, maintaining accurate records within customer relationship management (CRM) systems and property management software such as Yardi
• Assist with tenant screening procedures, including background checks and credit reports.
• Support lease renewals, rent collection, and lease expiration follow-ups while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
• Market available apartment units using innovative strategies, including digital marketing and local outreach efforts
• Stay informed on industry trends, local market analysis, and changes in hair housing laws to advise clients effectively
• Collaborate with property management team members on property maintenance issues, conflict management, and Fair Housing regulations compliance

Skills & Qualifications

• Availability to work weekends (Saturdays) required
• Previous experience in property leasing working with a property management company or facilities management environment
• Proficiency with property management tools such as Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong sales techniques and negotiation skills related to leasing processes combined with a thorough understanding of fair housing regulations and property management practices
• Excellent marketing abilities to attract prospective tenants through creative outreach strategies
• Multilingual or bilingual proficiency (Spanish) to serve diverse communities effectively
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple applications and maintaining detailed records efficiently
