• Job Summary:
  The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of buildings and grounds in a safe and efficient manner. Primary responsibilities include performing heavy cleaning tasks, ensuring sanitary conditions, and maintaining the overall appearance of the facility. This role is essential in creating a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

  Other Duties:
• • Sweep, scrub, strip, seal, wax, and shampoo various types of floors, floor coverings, and furniture.
  • Pressure wash locker rooms, restrooms, and other designated areas.
  • Operate various types of scrubbing, buffing, and shampooing equipment such as scrubbing machines, vacuums, and wet-dry pick-up machines.
  • Wash interior and exterior windows, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, window screens, and coverings.
  • Set up and clean up chairs, tables, stages, platforms, bleachers, and lecterns for various scheduled events.
  • Remove and replace light bulbs, ballasts, starters, shades, covers, window coverings, window screens, and wall hangings.
  • Collect and remove accumulated waste and debris from buildings.
  • Notify the supervisor of the need to reorder cleaning supplies, materials, tools, and equipment, and verify shipments against delivery slips.
  • Lock doors, secure windows, and ensure all lights are turned off as necessary.
• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in janitorial, custodial, or related cleaning services is preferred.
  • Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and tools is a plus.
• • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required
• • Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain cleaning tools and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage tasks.
• • Experience working in large facilities such as schools, hospitals, or office buildings.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
• • This role involves physical labor, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
