Job Description

As a Site Supervisor, you will leverage your strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage projects using Microsoft Project as needed. You will develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, review contracts and purchase orders, and ensure full understanding of project requirements. Your role will involve issuing purchase orders, generating project schedules, and monitoring project progress, while ensuring all functional teams meet scheduled commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop positive relationships with potential and current customers.
  • Review contracts and purchase orders, understanding payment terms and project schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders to contractors and equipment rental vendors.
  • Generate and revise project schedules, communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Process engineering releases in a timely manner.
  • Monitor project status and provide necessary input.
  • Ensure functional teams meet scheduled commitments, communicating delays to management.
  • Monitor projects and site personnel daily, addressing potential delays.
  • Compare actual and forecasted costs to budgeted costs, reporting overages to management.
  • Conduct conference calls and meetings with customers to update on project progress.
  • Travel to customer facilities for meetings and inspections.
  • Communicate potential delays to the sales team.
  • Ensure invoices are submitted to customers timely, following up on unpaid invoices.
  • Provide project updates and resource planning reports as required.
  • Maintain project folders from start to finish.
  • Build customer relationships to support future business opportunities.
  • Seek opportunities to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Directly supervise job sites as required.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed for successful project execution.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment where you will be part of a fast-paced, busy setting. The facility is very large and old, with parts everywhere due to the overflow of work. You will work a shift from 7am-3:30pm, sometimes extending to 6am-4:30pm, with 50-55 hours per week. When traveling, you will work according to the customer's schedule, typically during day shifts, and return home for weekends. All travel time is compensated.

This is a Permanent position based out of WARREN, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $60000.00/yr.
