LOW VOLTAGE SERVICE TECHNICIAN
CCTV • Access Control • Networking • Security
Monster Security & Technology is looking for an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician to join our growing team.
This position will initially be a 1099 independent contractor position, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time employee position based on performance, reliability, workload, and overall fit with our company.
We are looking for an experienced service technician—not just a cable installer. You should be comfortable walking into an existing system, diagnosing the problem, determining the correct solution, completing the repair, and properly testing your work.
EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Candidates should have good working knowledge of multiple low-voltage systems, including:
- CCTV / IP Surveillance
- Access Control
- Networking / TCP-IP
- Security / Intrusion Systems
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Data / Voice
- Audio / Video
- Fiber Optics
- Structured Cabling
- Equipment Racks & Network Hardware
- Troubleshooting, Service & Repair
You don't have to be an expert in every category, but you must have broad low-voltage knowledge and strong troubleshooting abilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of low-voltage SERVICE-related experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of networking and IP-based systems
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Professional appearance and customer service skills
- Must have your own basic low-voltage tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own truck or van is strongly preferred
- Must be dependable and communicate well
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
POSITION
Starting Status: 1099 Independent Contractor
Future Opportunity: Ability to transition into a full-time employee position
