As a Security Offcer, you are responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and controlled environment for residents, visitors, clients, and staff. You will monitor premises, enforce policies, and respond to incidents while providing professional and courteous service at all times.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of the premises.
- Control access points and verify identification of residents, visitors, and vendors.
- Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
- Write detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or unsafe conditions.
- Enforce property rules, regulations, and post orders.
- Provide assistance and directions to residents, guests, and visitors.
- Maintain communication with management, staff, and emergency services when needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of the property and report maintenance or safety issues.
- Ensure all safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed.
- De-escalate conflicts and handle situations in a professional manner.
- Remain alert and attentive at all times while on duty.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in security or related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid SORA license (NJ) or ability to obtain required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies
