Condustrial, Inc has an immediate opportunity for a Director of Facilities for a Church & School located in Greenville. The campus includes 11.5 acres and approximately 115,000 square feet of space in six buildings, plus a 2,000 sf building on .5 acres offsite. The Director ensures all sacred, educational and communal spaces remain safe, functional, welcoming, and beautifully preserved to support the church’s ministries. The Director manages capital improvement projects, coordinates service vendors, oversees facility budgets, and leads the facilities team.

Work Conditions:

Classification: Full-time (40 hours/week), salaried. 75-80k

Hours: Primarily weekdays, some evening and weekend hours required.

Core responsibilities

Buildings: Maintain campus buildings, ensuring safety and useful life. Serve as primary contact for rental property tenants to maintain properties in good working order. Serve as primary contact for phone and internet hardware services. Ensure physical safety of buildings including fire inspections, fire drills, elevator inspections, and security systems.

Equipment and vehicles: Manage service agreements. Work with vendors for equipment maintenance and repair. Develop schedule for routine and preventive maintenance.

Grounds: Ensure safety of church grounds, including parking lot, cemetery, sidewalks, staircases. Serve as primary contact for outsourced landscape vendor. Maintain grounds supplies. Assist business office in working with prospective and current owners of cemetery plots. Serve as primary contact for maintenance and repair of headstones and monuments in cemetery. Work with mortuaries and families with grave selection and preparation.

Vendor contracts: Primary contact for negotiating, renewing, and enforcing vendor contracts.

Events: Oversee event setups and breakdowns, including meeting rooms, church and chapel services, and campus events, including storage, security and setup/breakdown of AV equipment as needed.

Financial: Establish and monitor annual budget for facilities work. Coordinate with Grounds Committee on budget for grounds.

Janitorial: Assume primary responsibility for janitorial needs, including sanitizing and disinfecting all areas of campus. Work with janitorial vendor. Ensure availability of janitorial supplies.

Construction: Serve as primary contact for all campus construction projects.

Experience: 5+ years of facilities management experience. Experience in a church or nonprofit setting a plus.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of technical certifications and experience.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with building automation software and basic office suite software.

Licensing: Valid driver’s license required. Relevant trade certifications a plus.

Physical Demands: This is a physically active role requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, navigate crawlspaces, etc.

Other: Must pass background check and random drug testing.
