The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
The Maintenance Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for the coordination, oversight, and continuous improvement of all maintenance operations within a high-volume plastic injection molding manufacturing facility. This position makes sure machines run smoothly, production keeps moving, and safety and quality rules are followed by guiding a team of skilled technicians. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with cross-functional departments to drive operational efficiency, preventive maintenance execution, and timely equipment repairs, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
Shift:
· 1st Shift: 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel to ensure timely and effective support for production and auxiliary systems.
· Oversee and participate in the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of injection molding machines, robotics, tooling, and supporting systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, water cooling, and resin conveying systems).
· Ensure optimal machine performance to meet production targets related to cycle time, part quality, and uptime.
· Lead and enforce the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime.
· Ensure all tooling and mold changes are performed safely and efficiently, with proper documentation and checks.
· Provide clear direction, training, coaching, and performance feedback to a team of maintenance technicians.
· Foster a proactive, collaborative work environment that emphasizes ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Evaluate team performance, identify skill gaps, and facilitate development plans or cross-training to support operational needs.
· Ensure appropriate staffing coverage, including overtime, weekend, and emergency situations.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and technical certifications will be considered.
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of good health and safety practices.
· Ability to work rotating shifts – days, afternoons.
· Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
· Effective and targeted communicator with the ability to prioritize urgencies
· Lift up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis
· Push or pull with up to 60 lbs. of force on an occasional basis
· Stoop, kneel, climb, squat, or crawl on a frequent basis in areas with limited space
· Use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a frequent basis
· Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis
· Possess manual dexterity and good physical condition.
Experience:
· Facilities Maintenance Occupations: 4 years (Preferred)
· Maintenance: 4 years (Preferred)
· Plastics Injection Molding: 4 years (Preferred)
· Leadership or Supervisory Capacity: 5 years (Preferred)
Environment:
· Required use of PPE, including steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and other site-specific equipment.
· Occasional exposure to hot or cold conditions depending on the season and production processes.
· Availability for emergency calls, overtime, and weekend coverage as required by production needs
Pay Frequency:
· Bi-weekly or twice monthly
