Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Overview
ASAP Personnel is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Abilene, TX. We are looking for a dependable maintenance professional who can take ownership of daily maintenance operations, lead by example, and help keep the community running safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has strong apartment maintenance experience, hands-on HVAC knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
What You'll Do
• Lead daily maintenance operations, service requests, and apartment turns
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and property inspections
• Coordinate emergency repairs and assist with on-call needs as required
• Maintain maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory
• Work with vendors and contractors when needed
• Help ensure safety, EPA, and property standards are followed
• Provide professional service to residents and property management
Qualifications
• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Previous Lead Maintenance or Maintenance Supervisor experience preferred
• EPA Certification and HVAC experience required
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to prioritize work orders and manage multiple responsibilities
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Must have your own basic maintenance tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
