As a Privateer with Privateer Security Forces, you function as a domestically deployed private defense contractor. Expect to wear multiple hats and carry significant responsibilities. You will work alongside a specialized team that handles a range of operations:
- Advanced Private Patrol
- Static Site Security
- Support Operations (including U.S. border security assistance, counter-drug and anti-terrorism operations)
- Critical Infrastructure Protection (rail stations, oil rigs, pipelines, water wells, etc.)
- Intelligence Gathering & Analysis (operational support, drone missions)
- Surveillance & Apprehension (detecting, tracking, and detaining suspected smugglers, poachers, and trespassers)
- Electronic Sensor Response
- Traffic Observations & Checkpoints
- City Patrols & Other Security Duties
- Report Writing & Citizen’s Arrests (coordinating with law enforcement)
- Instruction & Training (for instructor-level Privateers, training both in-house security teams and external police forces)
- Supervisory Duties (for supervisory-level Privateers, designing and implementing security plans)
Privateers often face high-risk situations. The job may require extensive travel, flexibility, and working under pressure to protect people, property, and various critical interests.

- At least 21 years old by the time of Academy graduation (or at least 20 years, 9 months at the time of application)
- U.S. Citizen

- Valid Arizona Driver License

Special Hiring Process (Immediate Openings)
Due to urgent staffing needs, Privateer Security Forces is implementing a Special Hiring Process in lieu of our typical selection protocol. The following steps ensure we maintain our high standards while expediting candidate onboarding:

- Candidates are sourced primarily from our database of prior applicants with relevant skill sets.
- New referrals may also be considered if qualifications match immediate needs.

Preliminary Interview
- In-person interview at headquarters or a designated hiring field office.
- Assessment of candidate demeanor, articulation, and suitability.
- Submission of required background investigation documents (e.g., resume, driver’s license, certifications).

Background Investigation
- Comprehensive checks (employment history, criminal, financial, education, military records).
- Reference interviews to verify character and past performance.

Background Interview
- Clarifies any issues arising from the background report.
- Provides an opportunity for the candidate to address discrepancies or highlight relevant experience.

Psychological Evaluation
- Written exam to ensure candidates meet the psychological standards required for the role.

Final Interview
- Conducted by a member of the Command Staff and a supervisor or HR representative.
- Evaluation of communication skills, qualifications, and overall suitability.
- Conditional job offers may be extended to successful candidates.

Physical Evaluation
- One-on-one fitness test with an instructor to confirm physical readiness for Privateer duties.

Medical Evaluation
- Pre-employment medical screening for overall health clearance.

Privateer Academy (2 weeks / 80 hours)
- Intensive training covering operational tactics, legal statutes, physical endurance, and mental preparedness.
- All candidates must attend and can be dismissed for insufficient performance or upon request.

Probationary Period (30–120 days)
- Assigned as a Probationary Privateer with restricted responsibilities and close supervision.
- Additional on-the-job training and performance evaluations.
- Graduation
- Upon successful completion of probation, candidates become Certified Privateers and receive official assignments.
