Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | Syracuse, Rome, & Pulaski, NY

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Property Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our residential apartment communities in Syracuse, Rome, and Pulaski.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, can work independently, and enjoys fixing problems and keeping properties in great condition.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests and complete work orders
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance in apartments and common areas
  • Prepare apartments for new tenants and assist with unit turnovers
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs
  • Complete routine property inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain building exteriors, common areas, laundry areas, and grounds
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal and lawn care
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed
  • Identify and report maintenance, safety, or property-condition issues
  • Maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained properties
  • Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance, construction, property maintenance, or handyman experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Must be comfortable traveling between properties in Syracuse, Rome, and Pulaski
  • Must be comfortable working inside and outside and performing physical maintenance tasks
  • Must interact professionally and respectfully with tenants

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Occasional weekend on-call coverage will be required for maintenance emergencies.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who is dependable, takes ownership, and gets the job done. You don't have to be an expert in every trade, but you should be comfortable troubleshooting problems and have the ability and willingness to learn.

Pay and Benefits: $25 - $28 per hour depending on experience. Paid holidays. Gas reimbursement. Health Benefits available. PTO after one year of service.
