Certified Apartment Staffing is hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Rock Island, IL.
MUST HAVE APARTMENT / MULTIFAMILY MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE
This is NOT an entry-level position. We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional who already understands apartment maintenance, resident work orders, unit turns, and the fast-paced demands of a multifamily property.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident work orders and maintenance requests
- Perform apartment make-ready and unit-turn work
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance issues
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Maintain vacant units, common areas, and property grounds
- Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with residents and property management
- Assist with other maintenance duties as needed
Requirements
- MUST have previous apartment/multifamily maintenance experience
- Strong hands-on maintenance skills
- Experience with apartment turns and make-readies
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
- Able to troubleshoot and complete work orders independently
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- HVAC/EPA certification is a plus
- Must be able to start ASAP
