One of our manufacturing clients is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in East Peoria, IL.
**Pay Rate: **$35/hr - $37/hr
**Shift: **1st shift
Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility machinery

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems

Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings, compressors, and other production equipment

Inspect machinery to identify potential failures and perform proactive repairs

Install, align, and replace mechanical components including belts, chains, bearings, shafts, and couplings

Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings
-
Assist with machinery installations, equipment upgrades, and plant improvement projects

Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs using CMMS software
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or Trade School Certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field is preferred

3+ years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and power transmission equipment

Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production machinery

Basic electrical troubleshooting skills are preferred

Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining

Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems
