Independent Maintenance Contractor (1099) – Georgia
Orange Hammer LLC is seeking experienced and reliable Independent Maintenance Contractors (1099) to support residential property maintenance, repairs, and unit turnover projects across Georgia.
This opportunity is ideal for contractors with hands-on experience across multiple maintenance trades who are interested in receiving ongoing work orders based on property needs, location, availability, and experience.
Scope of Work
Contractors may receive work orders involving:
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs
- HVAC maintenance and repairs
- Roofing repairs
- Appliance repairs and installation
- Drywall and painting
- Flooring
- Landscaping
- Cleaning and trash-outs
- General repairs and property maintenance
- Full rehabilitation of vacant units
The specific type and volume of assignments may vary based on property needs, contractor capabilities, service area, and availability.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience in residential maintenance, repairs, renovations, or related trades
- Ability to perform multiple types of maintenance and repair work
- Own reliable transportation
- Own tools and equipment required to perform assigned work
- Ability to travel to assigned properties within your service area
- Ability to follow work-order instructions and document completed work with photos
- Reliable communication and professional conduct
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects responsibly
- Ability to operate as an independent contractor (1099)
Materials
Orange Hammer purchases project materials directly, so contractors are not expected to finance the primary materials required to complete assigned work.
Contractors are expected to provide their own tools and equipment necessary to perform their services.
Compensation
- Paid per completed task/work order
- Average monthly contractor earnings range from approximately $4,500 and above.
- Actual earnings vary depending on work-order volume, contractor availability, service area, and the type and complexity of assignments completed
- Earnings and work-order volume are not guaranteed and may vary from month to month
- Specific rates and payment terms will be discussed during the selection process
Contractor Relationship
This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, not a W-2 employment position.
Contractors are responsible for maintaining their own tools, transportation, insurance, licenses, registrations, and/or other requirements applicable to their independent business and the services they perform.
Contractors may accept work orders based on their availability, capabilities, and service area.
Service Area
Georgia
Specific geographic coverage and travel availability will be discussed during the screening process.
