Now Hiring: Porter at Burger King
- Pay Rate: $10 per hour
Overview:
The Porter plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming restaurant environment. This position supports daily operations through cleaning, light maintenance, and ensuring all back-of-house and front-of-house areas meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, restrooms, kitchen, walk-in areas, and exterior grounds
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors throughout the restaurant
- Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring they meet health and safety standards
- Empty trash bins and properly dispose of waste throughout the day
- Clean windows, doors, and other glass surfaces
- Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing stock when needed
- Perform light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting equipment issues
- Keep the parking lot, sidewalks, and drive-thru area free of debris
- Support managers and team members with additional tasks to keep the restaurant running smoothly
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending and standing for extended periods
- Prior janitorial, porter, or cleaning experience is a plus but not required
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced restaurant setting
- Morning availability preferred for opening and deep-cleaning tasks
- Must follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
