Job DescriptionSalary:
An Indianapolis-based company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support commercial properties in the Evansville, Indiana area. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in general maintenance and expertise in HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on commercial buildings and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
- Identify maintenance issues proactively and recommend solutions to prevent future problems
- Complete assigned work orders efficiently and within established timeframes
- Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of buildings and surrounding grounds
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members in a professional manner
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Qualifications:
- Effectively utilize a smart phone, Outlook and other basic computer programs.
- Proven experience in commercial property maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems (required)
- Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Work Environment:
- Field-based role servicing multiple commercial properties in the Evansville area
- Must be able to respond to maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
