Part-Time Groundskeeper / Custodian
Location: Springfield, VA
Schedule: 10-20 hours per week. Flexible schedule
Lee Valley Apartments is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Groundskeeper / Custodian to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of our apartment community.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and attractive grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, breezeways, and common areas.
- Pick up litter, leaves, debris, and pet waste throughout the property.
- Perform basic landscaping tasks such as raking, weeding, watering, and general cleanup.
- Clean and maintain hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other common areas.
- Empty trash left in trash rooms and maintain clean dumpster areas.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage to management.
- Assist the maintenance team with miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned.
- Periodically powerwash trash rooms and trash cans.
Qualifications
- Previous groundskeeping, custodial, maintenance, landscaping, or property experience preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean property.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
