ServiceMaster Services | Full-Time, Days | $20/hr
We're looking for a hands-on Janitorial Supervisor to lead a cleaning crew at a Mechanicsville office building. You'll split your time between cleaning alongside your team and making sure the crew, the schedule, and the client relationship all run smoothly.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (40 hrs/week) Location: Mechanicsville, VA (301 & 295 Interchange area)
What You'll Do
Lead the crew
- Direct staff through daily, weekly, and project cleaning tasks
- Train and mentor team members, and keep them motivated
- Set clear expectations and take corrective action when needed
- Serve as the main point of contact for client requests and concerns
Stay hands-on
- Perform cleaning duties yourself, including trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and restroom care
- Execute the building's cleaning plan efficiently and cost-effectively
- Walk the facility to confirm it's client-ready at the end of each shift
What You'll Need
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- 18 years or older (supervisory role)
- Prior experience leading or training a team preferred
- Strong communicator - you'll be the bridge between clients, building occupants, and staff
- Comfortable making judgment calls with limited oversight
- A track record that shows accountability and work ethic
- Physically able to be on your feet a full shift - walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and lifting throughout the day
