Position Summary Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the normal upkeep and repair of all aspects of the buildings, including independent and community apartments, villas, health center and interior or exterior community property/grounds.
Key Contributions
- Performs assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance. Identifies deficiencies and follows established procedures to correct problems.
- Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition and notifies supervisors to ensure adequate replacements are available as needed.
- Assists with refurbishment projects and repairs.
- Completes work within scheduled timeframes, according to budget and priorities established by the supervisor.
- Installs, finishes, repairs, paints, removes, and disposes of drywall and other materials.
- Picks up and delivers supplies.
- Operates maintenance equipment, including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, company vehicles, and golf carts.
- Communicates effectively with team members, residents, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and city, state, and federal officials as required, whether in person, by telephone, in writing, or via radio.
- Provides data for maintenance reports as requested.
- Complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
- During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical education preferred.
- A minimum of one year’s experience working in building maintenance or construction.
- Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
- A state issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
