Job Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Sanford, FL. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. Candidates with basic welding experience or entry-level welders interested in transitioning into maintenance are encouraged to apply.
This role operates in a hot industrial manufacturing environment and supports the maintenance and repair of production equipment used to manufacture aluminum products, including bars, tubes, rails, and components for pool enclosure systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and perform unscheduled repairs during production.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.
- Prepare machinery and equipment for production runs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform basic welding repairs as needed.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with hydraulic systems and hydraulic presses.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Experience repairing industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic welding experience.
- Blueprint reading experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or production environments.
- Maintenance Helper, PM Technician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar background.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
