Maintenance Tech job description
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Modern, air-conditioned facility with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
- Standard work hours: Sunday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 12:15 AM; overtime may be required depending on business needs.
- Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, then transitioning to a 1:00 PM start time post-training. Training period hours and length are flexible to accommodate your needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure optimal performance for all installed equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and execute safe predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance solutions.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance using eMaint maintenance software.
- Manage sub-contractors and create purchase orders for essential parts and services.
- Compile and analyze data to prepare accurate maintenance reports.
- Train and oversee production workers in routine preventive maintenance tasks and monitor compliance.
- Fabricate/repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment as needed.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Solid electrical knowledge (480/240/120 volts)
- Understanding of bearings, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, fluid pumping, welding, and rigging
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with hand, power, and specialized tools
- Experience in brazing and open-air furnaces is a plus
- Preferred: familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and AutoCAD (not required)
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for extended periods
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience required
- High School Diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Able to efficiently multitask and work independently or with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills required
- Demonstrated experience in welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance
