Project Manager – Facilities, Space Planning & Construction Coordination

Location: East Hartford, CT (On-Site 5 Days per Week)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting facility transformations, office reconfigurations, departmental moves, renovation projects, and space utilization initiatives across multiple locations. This is a highly visible position that combines project management, facilities planning, construction coordination, CAD design, and stakeholder engagement.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion while working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, facilities teams, and business leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain existing and proposed facility layouts using AutoCAD
  • Create space plans for office moves, seating arrangements, furniture reconfigurations, departmental relocations, and capacity planning initiatives
  • Coordinate renovation projects, facility upgrades, and construction activities across multiple sites
  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and incorporate feedback into design updates
  • Prepare bid packages and coordinate contractor walkthroughs
  • Support procurement efforts for materials, furnishings, and equipment
  • Lead pre-construction planning activities, including scheduling, access coordination, and contractor onboarding
  • Participate in regular project coordination and stakeholder meetings
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications
  • Review contractor invoices and project documentation for accuracy
  • Maintain as-built drawings and update space management records
  • Provide weekly project status reports and biweekly executive-level updates
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to established CAD and facilities standards

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities planning, space management, construction coordination, architectural production, or a related discipline
  • Strong AutoCAD experience with the ability to update master drawings and maintain drawing standards
  • Experience performing field verification, site measurements, and existing condition assessments
  • Knowledge of construction documentation, renovation workflows, and project coordination processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing and maintaining CAD files for space management platforms such as TRIRIGA
  • Knowledge of BOMA standards and space polylining practices
  • Experience supporting corporate office renovations, facility expansions, or workplace transformation projects
  • Understanding of furniture systems, occupancy planning, and space utilization strategies
  • Revit experience
  • LEED accreditation
  • Exposure to commercial, corporate, healthcare, education, or institutional facilities environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
