Maintenance Technician
Farley, Iowa | On-Site
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift
A well-established manufacturing company in Eastern Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support first-shift operations. This role is responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Diagnose and repair motors, drives, controls, and wiring
- Support equipment setup, changeovers, and new equipment installation
- Assist with basic PLC troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain maintenance logs and work order records
- Identify and address hydraulic and coolant system issues
- Help manage spare parts inventory
What Were Looking For
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read schematics and test electrical systems
- Experience with motors, drives, and control systems
- Familiarity with PLCs is a plus
- Solid mechanical aptitude (pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, etc.)
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining high attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to shifting priorities
- Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a production environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to meet standard pre-employment requirements, including passing a drug screen
