Job Description

CV Linens is seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our warehouse facility, forklifts, Cushman carts, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who can handle day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility needs while recognizing when specialized work should be referred to an outside contractor.

What You'll Do

\n

    \n
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair forklifts, Cushman carts, electric pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
  • \n

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues involving batteries, wiring, fuses, switches, motors, charging systems, brakes, steering components, wheels, and related equipment
  • \n

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections
  • \n

  • Test equipment after repairs and ensure it is safe before returning it to service
  • \n

  • Identify unsafe or damaged equipment and remove it from service when necessary
  • \n

  • Perform general facility maintenance and minor repairs
  • \n

  • Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, painting, patching, hardware, doors, fixtures, furniture, shelving, and equipment installations
  • \n

  • Help maintain warehouse fans, carts, workstations, tools, and other operational equipment
  • \n

  • Respond to urgent facility and equipment maintenance issues
  • \n

  • Coordinate specialized HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security/alarm, pest control, and other repairs with outside contractors as needed
  • \n

  • Obtain vendor quotes and assist with identifying cost-effective repair solutions
  • \n

  • Coordinate vendor and contractor access and follow repairs through completion
  • \n

  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facility and warehouse equipment
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, and vendor services
  • \n

  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies
  • \n

  • Assist with facility projects, equipment installations, relocations, furniture setups, and other operational needs
  • \n

  • Follow company safety procedures, equipment manufacturer specifications, and applicable Lockout/Tagout requirements
  • \n

  • Report equipment damage, safety hazards, accidents, and maintenance concerns promptly
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • Previous experience in industrial, warehouse, fleet, automotive, facilities, or equipment maintenance
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience maintaining or repairing forklifts or similar powered industrial equipment
  • \n

  • Experience with Cushman carts, utility vehicles, electric pallet jacks, or similar equipment preferred
  • \n

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, fuses, switches, connectors, motors, and charging systems
  • \n

  • Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical diagnostic equipment
  • \n

  • General knowledge of building and facility maintenance
  • \n

  • Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, service instructions, and technical specifications
  • \n

  • Experience using hand and power tools safely
  • \n

  • Understanding of preventive maintenance practices
  • \n

  • Ability to determine when a repair should be referred to a qualified or licensed contractor
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
  • \n

  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors, and contractors
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Forklift or powered industrial equipment repair experience
  • \n

  • Industrial maintenance, automotive, small engine, mechanical, or electrical background
  • \n

  • Experience maintaining battery-powered industrial equipment
  • \n

  • OSHA Lockout/Tagout training
  • \n

  • Facilities maintenance experience
  • \n

  • Experience coordinating vendors and contractors
  • \n

  • Mechanical, electrical, automotive, industrial maintenance, or related technical certification
  • \n

Physical Requirements

\n

This is a hands-on position that requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in different positions while inspecting or repairing equipment. The position also requires the safe use of hand and power tools and the ability to lift and move tools, parts, furniture, and equipment as required for the job.

\n

Work is performed in a warehouse environment and may involve exposure to machinery, batteries, electrical components, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
