Security Systems Technician
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting low-voltage security systems. The technician should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team at commercial and residential job sites.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and troubleshoot access control and security systems.
Install and wire electric door strikes.
Install and wire magnetic locks (maglocks).
Install, mount, and configure security cameras/CCTV systems.
Run and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 and other low-voltage cabling.
Terminate and test RJ45 connectors.
Install access control devices, including card readers, request-to-exit devices, and related equipment.
Perform basic troubleshooting of wiring, devices, power supplies, and network connections.
Read wiring diagrams, equipment instructions, and basic system drawings.
Test completed installations to ensure systems are operating properly.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle.
Properly document work completed at each job site.
Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other technicians.
Follow company procedures and job-site safety requirements.
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience working with security systems, access control, CCTV, or low-voltage systems.
Hands-on experience installing door strikes and maglocks.
Experience installing and troubleshooting security cameras.
Experience terminating and testing RJ45 connectors and network cabling.
Knowledge of Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and low-voltage wiring.
Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, multimeters, cable testers, and other installation equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot security system and wiring problems.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift equipment, use ladders, and perform physical installation work as required.

Network switches and basic networking
Electric locking hardware
Request-to-exit devices
Door contacts and motion detectors
Alarm/security systems
Commercial security system installations
