We are seeking a dependable Part-Time Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment within our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) serving individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect client rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, and restock supplies.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and equipment.
- Follow infection-control practices, Standard Precautions, and isolation/outbreak procedures.
- Properly use PPE, cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Follow procedures for waste, contaminated materials, and blood/body-fluid spills.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe janitorial equipment and storage areas.
- Report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and infection-control issues promptly.
- Maintain client dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times.
- Follow facility emergency, fire-safety, and evacuation procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Janitorial, housekeeping, healthcare, or long-term care experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safely use cleaning products/equipment.
- Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working around individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Must meet facility-required health screening, background clearance, orientation, and training requirements.
