Position Title: Apartment Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of residential apartment communities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance. This role ensures residents enjoy a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment while responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair work on apartments, buildings, and grounds.
Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues.
Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and repairs between resident move-ins.
Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities.
Inspect property for safety hazards and report issues to management.
Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
Assist with emergency maintenance calls and after-hours service as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local building codes.
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous apartment maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Valid driver's license may be required.
HVAC Certified required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
