Overview
Full Time Maintenance technician needed for 150 year old ,family owned, packaging business. Must be familiar with mechanical repairs. Electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic skills would be preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Disassembles machines to repair or replace broken or worn parts.
- Maintain all doors and exits.
- maintain loading dock plates for safe operation.
- Maintain all lighting in factory, warehouse and office.
- Follow maintenance schedule for prevention maintenance of all equipment.
- Maintain all furnaces and fans for safe operation.
- Inspect bags being produced for accuracy, quality and cleanliness.
- Inspect for trucks weekly, operation and safety.
- Inspect battery chargers weekly as for operating correctly.
- Air compressors are inspected daily with preventive maintenance checklist.
- Inspect grounds daily for security issues.
- Purchase Items as needed.
- Maintain MSDS logs.
- Maintain hazcom logs.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing or similar environments is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing.
- Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required for effective collaboration with team members and management.
