Job Description
Data Privacy Analyst | Global AmLaw Firm | New York (Hybrid)
$100,000 – $120,000 base + bonus
Hybrid: 3–4 days in-office (NYC)
Full benefits + long-term growth within a globally recognized platform
We’re partnering with a top-tier international law firm (AmLaw 20) seeking a Data Privacy Analyst to join its Office of the General Counsel in New York. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility, globally integrated privacy function supporting one of the most sophisticated legal platforms in the market — working directly alongside senior leadership on data protection, risk, and compliance initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in supporting a global privacy program, partnering across business units and practice groups to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and drive best-in-class data protection standards. This is not a siloed role — you’ll be embedded in real-time decision-making across the firm’s operations, with exposure to complex, cross-border matters.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including document review and response coordination
- Reviewing and improving privacy agreements and intake processes
- Assisting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and internal documentation
- Contributing to privacy training programs across the firm
- Supporting policy development and global compliance initiatives
- Assisting with privacy breach response and risk mitigation
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to drive “privacy by design” across systems and processes
- Conducting research on global regulatory developments and advising on implications
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years of data privacy / data protection experience
- Strong understanding of global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ability to analyze complex legal and operational issues with precision
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and comfort working across all levels of an organization
