Key Responsibilities
As an Apartment Service Technician, you will:
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs throughout the community.
- Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including make-ready repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on apartments, buildings, and equipment.
- Maintain the appearance of the community, including grounds and common areas.
- Assist with pool operation and maintenance, where applicable.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop.
- Participate in the community's 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while interacting with residents and team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience with an emphasis on repairs, maintenance, and customer service.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation.
Preferred:
- HVAC or EPA Certification.
- Pool operation and maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to reach overhead for extended periods.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
