Job DescriptionTraveling Fire Alarm & Intrusion Technician – Virginia (Richmond or Surrounding Areas)
Pay: $28–$40 p/hr depending on experience
Type: Contract-to-Hire (probationary period before permanent hire)
Schedule: Full-time | Local travel within Virginia
We’re seeking a skilled Fire Alarm & Intrusion Technician to join a growing team supporting commercial service and installation projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in quality work and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and service fire alarm and intrusion systems in commercial facilities
• Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot panels and wiring for systems such as Silent Knight, Honeywell, or Bosch
• Interface professionally with clients and provide clear documentation of work

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in fire alarm or intrusion systems
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes
• NICET I–II or FASA/BASA preferred but not required
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean background

Contract-to-Hire Details:
This position begins as a contract role to ensure mutual fit and performance. After the probationary period, you’ll convert to a W-2 employee with full benefits—including health, dental, and vision coverage paid 100% by the company, with family plans fully covered.
